This policy informs you about the processing of your personal data when visiting the website karolkallay.sk in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter "GDPR") and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data.

2. Purpose and Scope of Personal Data Processing

This website serves as an informational portal about photographer Karol Kállay (1926–2012). The website does not contain contact forms, registration, login, or other functions requiring the submission of personal data.

For the purpose of anonymous traffic analysis, we use the Matomo tool, operated by the Slovak hosting provider WebSupport s.r.o. Matomo processes the following data:

  • anonymised IP address (the last octet is removed)
  • visited page address and time of visit
  • referring page (referrer)
  • browser and operating system type
  • screen resolution
  • clicks on external links

We do not use cookies. Matomo is configured without the use of cookies. The tool also respects the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser — if activated, your visit will not be recorded.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

The processing of traffic data is carried out on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is obtaining basic statistical data on website traffic for the purpose of managing and improving the website.

4. Recipients and Data Transfers

Analytical data is stored on the server of the hosting provider WebSupport s.r.o. based in the Slovak Republic. Data is not shared with third parties, is not transferred to third countries outside the European Economic Area, and is not used for marketing or advertising purposes.

5. Data Retention Period

Traffic analytics data is retained for 12 months from the date of recording.

6. Rights of the Data Subject

In relation to the processing of personal data, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • right of access to data concerning you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • right to erasure of data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • right to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR)
